Vancouver Now & Then: Another contender for the oldest residence outside of downtown

Let's take a look at 144 E 6th Ave in Mount Pleasant.

Along with the nearby Depencier house, this one might qualify as the oldest residence outside the downtown core.

Built in 1894 or so, the photograph is from 1958, the oldest one I could find in the Vancouver Archives. The house is now home to The James Black Gallery.
