Dine Out Vancouver 2009!

This came through today via press release. Did anybody hit this last year? SO GOOD, the best meal I had was at Hamilton Street Grill…

In its seventh year, the promotion is back with tempting menus and BC VQA wine pairings at over 180 restaurants

Vancouver, BC: Offering delicious dining experiences and great value, Vancouver’s celebration of BC food and wine could be just the thing to take the chill out of January. Presented by Visa, Tourism Vancouver’s Dine Out Vancouver 2009 will take place over 19 days, from Wednesday, January 14 to Sunday, February 1.

More than 180 restaurants are participating in the 2009 event, offering up great value by delivering three-course prix-fixe dinners at $18, $28 or $38 price-points (exclusive of taxes, alcohol and gratuity). BC VQA wine pairings will also be suggested, providing the perfect opportunity to get to know the wines of British Columbia.

“Dine Out Vancouver really does allow diners to sample all aspects of our city’s vibrant restaurant scene,” said Geoffrey Howes, chair of Tourism Vancouver. “It’s amazing how the city becomes transformed with culinary excitement each January thanks to the promotion.”

Restaurant choices span the culinary landscape of the city both literally and figuratively:

Dine on hilltops and mountains, at golf courses, in rainforests and on the waterfront.
“Taste drive” a variety of neighbourhoods including Yaletown, Gastown, West Vancouver, downtown, South Main, Commercial Drive and more.
Sample some of the city’s newest hotspots, most acclaimed dining rooms, fabulous international eateries and family-friendly fare.
Consumers can start making their Dine Out Vancouver 2009 reservations on Monday, January 5 when the list of participating restaurants, complete with menus, becomes available online at www.tourismvancouver.com. Reservations can be made online through the site, and diners are encouraged to book early.

Visitors and locals are encouraged to “make a night of it” and enjoy a gourmet Vancouver getaway with great deals on hotel rates and packages to complement the Dine Out Vancouver 2009 experience. A selection of Vancouver hotels are offering one-night Dine Out Vancouver packages featuring a three-course dinner for two people and one night’s accommodation for as low as $150 CAD.Booking one of these packages is the only way to make a Dine Out Vancouver dinner reservation in advance of January 5.
