The other day I was out skateboarding at Strathcona, it was really nice and there must have been about 10 dudes on each side all lined up, so I spent more time watching than skating. The one thing I really picked up on...and I've noted this before, is the ever so popular 'Relic' look.
This amused me in that 'I told you so' sort of way until I realized, I too had a toque and a beard. I normally don't have a beard, but the jock in me supports his team and it's the playoffs for both the Giants and Canucks. I sort of rubbed my face and reflected...'hmm...maybe this wasn't such a good idea....man..maybe these pants are a bit tight....I guess it is a bit hot to be wearing a flannel shirt....and most importantly, why AM I using this shoelace as a belt?'
It was then I realized that the yins and the yangs in my kit were just messed....
Usually in times like this to cleanse my palate, I just wear nothing but sweatpants for a week....but this was deep....It was like the opposite of the time I took a spaz at some dude for using too many machines at the gym at once....I had to go home and put on a cardigan to deal with that.....
What happens though....like it was meant to be....I walk into a thrift store to get my Sun Run outfit and BAM...this hot little number jumps out at me.... I put it on and all was in order....for now in the complexed world known as my closet.....there is peace.
