Celebrating the works of Arthur Erickson, Architect

This week, we lost one of Vancouver's, as well as Canada's, most famous architects, Arthur Erickson. While his passing is sad, what is amazing is the work that he left behind.

This week, we lost one of Vancouver's, as well as Canada's, most famous architects, Arthur Erickson.

While his passing is sad, what is amazing is the work that he left behind. Dotting our city, his craft and design are everywhere, for everyone to enjoy. His buildings are part of Vancouver's fabric, things that we see every day.

Arthur Erickson's stamp was all over our beautiful city and province.

"Born and raised in Vancouver, Erickson contributed hugely to our city. His most famous projects in British Columbia – Robson Square (1980), the Museum of Anthropology (1978), and Simon Fraser University (1963) – helped create a West Coast architectural culture and identity."
