Angel Seafood on Grant Street near Clark supplies most of the cities sushi bars with fish. What alot of people don't know is they operate a retail shop. It's a pretty weird set up with an office on one side and about a dozen deep freezes on the other. They have a real good selection of sashimi grade fish but probably my favourite is the frozen serving size pre-marinaded fish. I'm pretty sure there's more than a couple izakayas in Vancouver that just slice open Angel's Black Cod in Miso, cook and serve, so why wouldn't you do the same? If you've had one too many hotdogs over the summer, you might want to try one of these at the next BBQ.
