Concrete Skateboarding's Issue 100 release party at Antisocial.
This past weekend (June 13-14th) was pretty damn stacked with stuff to do. Skateboarding-wise, Saturday, June 13th played host to the RDS Summer Block Party and skate contest in North Van; Zoo York's State of Mind Vancouver video premiere at The Met featuring the Zoo team, and Concrete Skateboarding magazine's Issue #100 release parties at both Antisocial and the Biltmore. On Sunday, June 14th, Car Free Vancouver Day was in full effect—I spent a good chunk of time at the Main Street festival checking out the mini-ramp shralp and the skate hockey marathon.
Vancouver installation artist, Danny Vermette brought his rare albino sasquatch to Concrete's Issue 100 release party at Antisocial. Stay tuned for upcoming web features showcasing the making of this special retrospective issue.
