Like Kits Beach, Kits Pool , on a sunny day, is ground zero for Vancouver's who's hot and who's not crowd. (Mostly hot... I got through security somehow... just kidding... place is pretty mellow and everyone is welcome...)
The pool, with slightly salty water, is Canada's longest pool. I can barely make it from one end to the other... which is around 1.5 times the length of an olympic sized swimming pool...
And the setting, it is amazing. How many pools (ok, we have Second Beach pool too, which is easily as beautiful... see a theme here... Van rules it in pools too!) border the ocean, barely separated from the Seawall... Floating on your back, kicking languidly, seeing the seagulls floating overhead as you feel the cooling ocean breeze... that's well worth the admission.
