THE PROOF - JEFF BOYES

"Visual Technicians, aka Jeff Boyes-freelance illustrator/designer/printer and mountain man.

"Visual Technicians, aka Jeff Boyes-freelance illustrator/designer/printer and mountain man. Like a swiss army knife on steroids, his multi-faceted skill-set allows him to consistently combine traditional methods with cultural iconic references to create colorful, intricate and award winning prints. Jeff made his start in a small makeshift workshop in the sticks of Pitt Meadows and now works out of another makeshift studio in East Vancouver. His imagination is bottomless and his patience in perfecting hand cut screen prints hardly goes unnoticed. With shows spanning across North America (Idiot Box-L.A., Crazy 4 Cult-L.A, Partisan the Sea-Florida, and Art & Sole 1 to 4- Vancouver to name a few) and even a custom print run for Bill Murray, Jeff continues to share his love of art and design with the masses. He also serves as the Bike Division Graphic Designer for Norco Bikes, bringing pizzazz and playfulness to their top level bike line-up.

The Questions

What neighborhood do you live in?

I live in East Vancouver on Broadway. My print studio is just off of Main.

What do you do and where?

Graphic Designer / Screen Printer / Painter

Design and screen print my own art prints: I sell them through my website and through various galleries. I am also the Bike Division Graphic Designer at Norco Bikes in Port Coquitlam.

What are you working on?

Currently I am working on a new screen print for a He-Man show at Gallery 1988 in L.A. Yeah, that's right, He-Man! I'm also working on 3 other screen prints for a few local shows in the new year. Other then the prints, I'm working on a new T-shirt for El Kartel on Robson and the 2011 bike line at Norco Bikes.

Where can we find your work?

The easiest way is through my website, www.visualtechnicians.com.

Ayden Gallery in Tinseltown has a few of my prints, El Kartel has a shirt I just did, and your local bike store for any of the Norco bikes I've done in the past year.
