Gallery Atsui (602 East Hastings) is a great independently funded artist studio and gallery space owned and operated by Alex Grewal, Sascha Yamashita and Todd Nickel. This week Friday, Nov 6, at 8pm, they are having an art opening for a show call the Evolution of Inspiration. With Dawkins' questions in mind and coinciding with the bicentennial of Charles Darwin's birth, as well as November 2009 being the 150th anniversary of the publication of Darwin’s seminal work On the Origin of Species, Gallery Atsui is thrilled to present an exhibition of art influenced by science, featuring new and original works by: Verena Kaminiarz, Mark Mushet, Sonja Hebert, Jesse Gray, Suzanne Kay, Helen Eady, Patrick Blaeser.
