PEAK PERFORMANCE PROJECT - BODHI JONES

The PEAK Performance Project is a seven-year, 5.29 million dollar contest open to all musicians in British Columbia. The project was created by Vancouver's very own 100.5 The PEAK and Music BC to develop BC based emerging artists.

Every year, twenty finalists from BC will receive an intensive, one week training program in the music business, live performance, songwriting, marketing and promotion. From these, the top three will be crowned as the PEAK Performers of the year and will share $275,000 in cash for career development!

Who's your favorite artist(s) in the Peak Performance Project and why?

I’m gonna cop out on this one, because I’ve honestly got 8 or 9 favourite artists. I suppose if I had to choose 8 or 9, I’d have to say in no particular order: We Are The City, TV Heart Attack, Sweetheart, Kuba Oms, Garrett Kato, Tea, Run The Red Light, and Adrian Glynn.

What was the most valuable thing you took away from Boot Camp?

I would probably have to say, for me it was getting over a lot of my fears and self-doubts. Band camp forced me way out of my comfort zone and now I’m super excited to take on all challenges, I’m finally ready to make my dreams a reality. I’d also like to say that I’ve never met so many great people, everyone involved in camp life was amazing!

What is one thing you wish you brought to Boot Camp, but didn’t?

Ear plugs.

What’s your favorite venue to play at in BC?

The Media Club (Still a dream of mine to play the Commodore).

Where is your favorite hangout in Vancouver?

The Sin Bin (West 2nd and Crowe).

If you win the grand prize, what are you going to put the money towards?

Recording, Marketing & Advertising, Publicity, Merchandise, Gear, Rehearsal space, Touring, and Peace of mind.
