Along with the local artists, Drawing On Vancouver invited a couple out-of-towners to send in some work. Porous Walker, Don Pendleton, Shawn O’Keefe and Josh Holinaty have never lived in Vancouver but have great friendships and connections with those who do.
Porous Walker
Porous Walker isn’t afraid to draw a penis and sometimes they even climb tall buildings to save the princess. He wishes he lived here and someone should sponsor him so he can take over our city. Anyone who has received a package from Porous has been delight by randomness.
Don Pendleton
Don Pendleton is an Ohio based artist who has a deep connection to the skateboard world and was the subject matter of Little Giants Vol 1. created by VIA’s own Bob K. Don also had a series of Livestock tees that incorporated Vancouver imagery into them.
Josh Holinaty
Josh Holinaty resides and makes his art in the burg of Edmonton. His work has a never-ending well of imagination to created monsters and characters that scare and soulflully entertain.
Shawn O'Keefe
Shawn O’Keefe lives over in Victoria and is one of the members of The Woodpile Collective who have shown and created art for many years now. Shawn’s art covers much ground and takes influence from the forests and alleys of Western Canada.
Come on down to Walrus Thursday night to see the images they all did for Drawing On Vancouver. Things start off at 6 pm.
