Happy New Year! 2010 is going to be an awesome year for art and our creative professionals in Vancouver. Many galleries are kicking off great new shows for 2010. This week the Grunt Gallery presents a performance, Bad Boys: Portraits of Mediated Performance an installation by Sean George. It will also feature original artwork by: Christian Chaumont, Sherrard Bostwick, Courtney Presber, Dean Gregory, Carl Meadows, Chris Bendsen, and Dan Leonard. Opening Reception: Saturday, Jan 9, 7-10pm. Performance will begin at 8pm sharp.
Other Notables: Charles Bernstein will be at W2 Perel and Artspeak, Madeline Smith is at Blim, Gallery Atsui and the Winsor Gallery both have great shows. Helen Pitt is also having a 'house warming' at their new host gallery 221A.
