Ladies (and gents) planning their upcoming nuptials better circle January 30 into their wedding agenda.
The Grassroots Wedding Fair runs that day from 10:30am - 6pm at Heritage Hall on Main and 15th, showing people how they can throw a dream -- yet green -- wedding using green businesses, local artisans and super cool, DIY concepts.
So what's so awesome about this event? With the help of Green Chair Events, everything is carbon neutral, from using green energy from Bullfrog Power to having recycling/composting on-site to utilizing eco-friendly cleaning supplies, plus offering bike valet and exhibitor awareness info. The fair will even be audited in order to carbon offset! Be sure to check out the live music, food, gifts, and a lounge area, too.
Prizes up for grabs include a full photography package to the greenest wedding planned, a two-night getaway and other prizes from the exhibitors.
