With 20,729 artists, boasting 91,561 tracks, the CBC Radio 3 web site is the absolute ultimate authority, and the home, of independent music in Canada. Recently relaunched with some fancy new tools for members (free to join!), we’re taking advantage of what they’ve set up by bringing you a fresh batch of music every week featuring local groups who have tracks (entire albums, even!) on the R3 site.
Once again we're highjacking what CBC Radio 3 has put together with their PLAYLIST feature on their web site! This time we're using "our" playlists to provide music for our art show, An Awesome Showcase, that's open from noon-5PM, February 12th-28th.
A.C. Newman, Lana Gay, Adaline, Dan Moxon, Grant Lawrence, Chris Kelly, Tegan Quin, Hannah Georgas and Dan Mangan have all compiled their favourite songs by Vancouver artists for us and these are all of the songs that we're streaming daily! Visit the Showcase, check out some artwork by local creatives and enjoy some music by Vancouver bands.
