Chin: VanCity's finest producer.

The first time I heard of Chin was at end of August 2009 when I had to photograph an event at Shine nightclub.

The first time I heard of Chin was at end of August 2009 when I had to photograph an event at Shine nightclub. Love & Electrik were peforming that night and as I got to talk to them before their performance, I got to learn a little bit about The Hastings Set and evidently - Chin. The second time I heard of Chin was months later when I got to meet him face to face at Medina. Many many interviews of him can tell you that he is the hottest producer in town, that he has worked with some of the biggest hip-hop heavy weights out of both Canada and U.S., that he is inspirational, genius and much much more. You can read all that good stuff up just by googling Chin Injeti. In fact I'll do it for you. But what I know about Chin Injeti is that the dude seriously reflects and helps develop our city's amazing collective of talent - and that's a hella of a job to do. He does it naturally - by choosing to produce some of the best music ever heard and working with some of the most amazing local talent which not only ranges from musicians and vocalists but also photographers like myself, videographers, dancers, graphic designers and many more.

In the month of February I got an invite to spend some time with Chin in his studio - thus I took this opportunity to discover and capture his space as honestly as I possibly could. Hope the rest of the story can be told in the photos below.
