The Proof: Aaron A*MAZE Joseph

“Good luck trying to label this bastard. When I first met Aaron he was a writer and photographer, covering mostly concerts.

“Good luck trying to label this bastard. When I first met Aaron he was a writer and photographer, covering mostly concerts. Then I saw photos of him with Aaliyah and Will Smith; he apparently acts too, and was even in a commercial for Nickelodeon’s Flash Screen in the early ’90s. In the past few years he was a promoter for a couple clubs here in Vancouver, this year he’s touring across the country with Coca-Cola and the Olympics, and somewhere in between he appeared on MuchMusic’s “Hotties Next Door” special. He’s a man of a million hats — a million funky fresh, fitted hats. Aaron lives in East Van, skateboards a lot, speaks French, knows everyone and dresses real fly. I think he’s a Leo.” – Andrea Woo

The Questions

What neighborhood do you live in?

I am a proud resident of False Creek/Downtown Vancouver for over 18 years.

What do you do and where?

I am a journalist (WRGmag.com, Mvremix.com, Vancouver Canucks, BC Lions, etc), Actor (iRobot, Romeo Must Die, Slamdunk Ernest, etc) and a photographer for 5ive6ix7even.com which is the website I have been running for over a year and a half. In short I'm a pretty busy guy :)

What are you working on?

I am currently back from my Olympic hiatus, for the last year along with working on my website and my film & television work I have been devoted to the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games. I have been working closely with Coca-Cola Canada and VANOC, on the 2010 Olympic Torch Relay, and I have just returned to Vancouver after 106 days on the road; a 45,000 km journey across Canada. Ask me where I've been across this beautiful country and chances are I've now spent a day there. It was an amazing experience and coming back has proven to me what I knew before leaving; British Columbia is truly "The Best Place On Earth." During this journey I have been lucky enough to find new photographers for The 567, as well as taken photos of people, places, and things that I cannot wait to share with the rest of the world on the website.

Where can we find your work?

5ive6ix7even.com, imdb.com, mvremix.com, wrgmag.com. I try to be everywhere and give back to the city that has given me so much, hopefully the work is appreciated :)
