UPDATE: Mystery solved!
Erik Rolfsen from The Province let us know it was them! HERE is the original link, where the photo fades from one to the other. They’re doing a bunch of these for their upcoming “one-year-after” feature online, which we’ll be linking to once they go online.

I’m not entirely sure of the source of this photo and normally I wouldn’t just grab something off of the internet and paste it onto our blog but this image must be shared. It’s nice having the streets back but those days of madness were a lot of fun, weren’t they?
