The Proof

1. My work space at DOXA Documentary Film Festival - The creepy horses wearing shorts were there when I moved in.

2. Poster wall at DOXA - Promo posters for films we've screened as well as for the festival itself.

3. Submissions wall at DOXA - Boxes and envelopes from submissions to the festival from all over the world.

4. Caffé Calabria - One of the best coffee shops in town is right across the street from the DOXA offices.

5. My meditation space in the bedroom. First thing every morning I meditate for 20 minutes.

6. A few of my DVD's. Lots of horror, especially zombie movies. The latest is a Blu-ray of Dead Snow from Norway.

7. The Trans Canada Trail goes right past our house.

8. My work space at home. Many of the books you see are reference for creative writing.

The Questions

What neighborhood do you live in?

Capitol Hill in Burnaby.

What do you do and where?

I am the Social Media Coordinator / Blogger at DOXA Documentary Film Festival; a position created this year. The festival office is on Commercial Drive in Vancouver. The next festival will take place May 7–16, 2010.

What are you working on?

At DOXA I'm working on being a 'bull horn' for the festival and writing about documentary film and DOXA related news on the blog. For myself, I have been working on a number of horror screenplays and short stories, developing characters and stories for a children's book and planning a documentary about my experience as an adopted person and my family history. Finally, with a friend, I am digitizing a number cassette tapes to preserve his grandfather's life story.
