Spring has sprung and the flowers are in bloom, which also means it's time for wedding season! And what would a beautiful bride be without some primping and pampering?

Mika Makeup, run by Vancouver make-up artist extraordinaire, Karin Shoji, gets bridal parties ready for the big day. Round up the hens for a stagette party hosted right in the Mika studios. Makeup applications get the ladies looking glam, while optional manis, pedis and even massages ensure everyone's feeling in top form for the wild night ahead.

Brides can also take the brush into their own hands with Mika Makeup lessons, specific to wedding day makeup. Learn the strokes that'll get you looking your best for the flash bulbs, Too much on your plate? The studio also offers a sanctuary before the ceremony for the bridal party, complete with an array of beauty services to choose from.

Top makeup items for your purse on the wedding day? Karin suggests. "Blotting papers (MAC Blot Film is good one) and carry a pressed powder in your shade to matte down any shine. Make sure you have a lipstick and or gloss to touch up your lips as it is a long day. Everything else, as long as your using the right long-wearing waterproof products, should last all day and night!"
