Once again, the Museum Of Vancouver has put together an enjoyable exhibit which is of the utmost importance for viewing by you, the people of Vancouver. Fox, Fluevog and Friends (official info and schedule HERE) is a fashion retrospective exploring the work of legendary Vancouver footwear designers John Fluevog, Peter Fox and Ken Rice. The story starts in the 1960's from the time that Fluevog was babysitting Fox's kids, goes through various phases of the two's business relationship, their connection with clog-maker Ken Rice, through the 70's, 80's, 90's and 2000's and lands at what they're all up to present day.

I quite honestly don't even know where to start so I'll simply take you through a few of my favourite things about this comprehensive exhibit.

1. Many, many, many pairs of shoes. If you like shoes (and I know you do), you will love this.

2. The behind-the-scenes story of those ever iconic, angelic, comfy Fluevog soles.

3. John Fluevog posing in front of an old photo of himself, decades later. Okay, he might not be there when you go, but there are lots of archival images of the three designers and their processes over the decades.

4. A look at some amazing vintage clogs and leather working and tools courtesy of Ken Rice.

5. Decades-old artifacts from the inside workings of a shoe company. I love this kind of stuff.

These are but a few of the things that I personally loved about the exhibit. Click HERE to visit the MOV web site to find the schedule etc and be sure to get down there to check it out. It starts today and goes until September 26th.
