Scene and Heard: Last Week in Music Volume 12: ft. Adrienne Pierce, Adrian Glynn, The Left, We Are The City and David Vertesi

SCENE AND HEARD showcases the independent music scene here in Vancouver. We interview some of our favourite local artists, and 'Last Week in Music' highlights some of the concerts happening around the city. This week I attended 3 shows in 2 nights.

This week I attended 3 shows in 2 nights. Busy busy.

This past Friday Adrienne Pierce played at the Media Club. Adrienne is originally a Vancouverite but now lives in sunny Los Angeles, and came to BC to play a few shows. Check out her music here and follow her on Twitter here.

Saturday started of with the Peak Performance Project Meet & Greet at the Biltmore; a schmooze-fest with the Top 20 artists/bands in this years contest. Following this was a performance by Adrian Glynn, The Left, and (last year's winners) We Are The City.

Post PPP show many of the attendees, myself included, booked it over to Guilt & Company in Gastown to catch Dave Vertesi on bass (as well as Daniel Ruiz on drums and Gregory Pothier on guitar) improvising for the crowd. Not only was it excellent music wise, but it was my first time back at G&C since the opening and I'm happy to report I enjoyed it just as much as last time, as did many of my friends:
