Who's judging the fireworks, anyway?

If you didn't catch this bit of news already: I've been granted the honour of being on the judging panel for this year's Celebration of Light!

This means that I'll be spending the night of each event on top of the Bathhouse in English Bay surrounded by 400,000 or so people and an esteemed panel of 6 other judges with whom I got acquainted last night. Global TV's Jill Krop serves as our head judge and is joined by city councillor Raymond Louie, Roy Hennessey from Shore 104.3 FM, Dolly Wilson from London Drugs, Greg Albrecht from brand.LIVE and, last but not least, Maggie Langrick who is the arts editor of the Vancouver Sun.

While I'll be delivering the odd tweet from my judge's chair, Maggie is actually live-blogging during each night's fireworks! You can catch up with her posts from last night and get the inside scoop each night going forward on her "Been There, Done That" blog HERE.

Oh, and remember my tour of the barge that I shared yesterday? I meant to also show you this photo of the firing tower where the dudes who put together each night's show fire it from. The tower is on the left of the barge if you're looking out at it from English Bay, and I imagine it's the loudest place to be each night.
