Dear Vancouver is Awesome,

I'm Taylor White and I'm excited to visit your city! I live in New York. I want you to get to know me, so when I cross your picturesque border you'll understand me. I don't want anyone to think I'm a freak when I'm ogling your Omnimax Theater in amazement. These are the places in my city that I love the most, and that now know that Vancouver is Awesome (.com)! [Ed. note: Check out the stickers in the photos! Thanks to Taylor for bringing VIA to the streets of NYC!]

I work at a comic book store called Forbidden Planet during the day. I run their mail order department. If you buy something from our website, it's likely I've had my filthy mitts all over it. This is the main aisle of the store, which I rarely see, because I'm in the basement. I really love my job.

I'm broke most times so I'm usually looking for cheap grub. Street food is great. Rafiqi's has excellent falafel, which is great for me, because I'm a vegetarian (another reason I'm stoked for Vancouver).

There's also Mister Softee, a killer ice cream truck fleet that's only going to be operating for a couple more weeks until next summer.

Almost every day I'll see weird stuff on my way to or from somewhere. This is a truck owned by a store called Olde Good Things. I've never been there, but I had to show you this truck.

This is the roof of my apartment building, where I do most of my chilling. I live on the top floor so I can stomp around all I want. I have 2 roommates, so a lot of beer gets consumed here.

I can't wait to get my feet on British Columbian soil. The people of Vancouver are so great. I can't wait to spent some time with them, maybe on a rope bridge in Lynn Canyon or on a ferry ride downtown. I love that stuff! Looking forward to every night ending in a poutine coma. Get ready, Vancouver!

Love,

Taylor White
