Vancouver is Awesome is excited to be on board as a media sponsor for the inaugural year of what is sure to be an important biannual event in Vancity. Eco-Fashion Week Vancouver is happening from September 27-30 and will be bringing together many facets of the burgeoning eco-fashion industry - from leading eco-designers, buyers, media, models and agencies - the green spotlight will be focused squared on Vancity. Events will include eco-fashion runway shows (featuring local designers like Lav and Kush and Nicole Bridger, among many others),seminars and special guests. The University of Victoria's Dr. Andrew Weaver, who shared the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize with Al Gore, is the event's keynote speaker and Eco-Fashion "It Girl" and activist Summer Rayne Oakes will also be making an appearance.

The Refinery incorporates sustainable resources and practices into their environment and is a member of the Vancouver Aquarium's Ocean Wise Sustainable Seafood Program.
