Granville Island Brewing Oktoberfest Brewski-Daddle
Where & when: Saturday October 2, 2010 4PM @ Brockton Oval, Stanley Park
Cost: Categories range from $42 - $190 - Registration information
Why you should go: It is being hailed at 'the most fun you'll ever have on a beer run' which is a slogan we love. Plus lots of choices: 5K Walk/Run, 1 Mile Walk/Run / as well as a 1KM kids run. Followed by a sweet after party and you know they will be serving Granville Island beer there! Hopefully some of the new Pumpkin Ale!
Cool extras: Runners receive a FREE beer mug (first 300), delicious fresh baked pretzel, entry into the after party and the chance to win some great prizes!

Why you should go: We at V.I.A. are so excited about the first meeting of our Vancouver Book Club and the current book is Vancouver Special by Charles Demers. This is a chance to discuss your favourite pages of Vancouver Special, ask the author burning questions and connect with booklovers.
Cool extras: Charles Damers will be at the event! Also you will be the first to hear about our 2nd Vancouver Book Club book and it will be available for purchase.
