Like many of you, my favourite part of VIA is the Daily Flikr Pickr. Purists can complain all they want about digital photography, but seeing a new beautiful photo every day, is not only enjoyable but inspiring. I can't tell you how many times I've seen a photo and thought......man...why can't I think of photos like that? Or in this case....I'm going to go shoot a photo just like that.....right now!
So what is with this sudden influx of odd shaped carrots? Personally, I've always bought my produce from pretty traditional places where the carrots look like they're from a Buggs Bunny cartoon. Since I've joined this farming co-op though, I been getting carrots in all sorts of shapes and sizes. I think this is super! They taste great, and more importantly they aren't going to waste. It totally reminds me of the misfit toys from Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, to the point where I've found myself arranging a whole course line of vegetables in my kitchen. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing.....
