Although, I'm the anointed sports editor of VIA, I can only be rated from fan, to casual fan. Bob knows even less about sports so he took it upon himself some time ago to make it a VIA tradition to ask dumb sports questions.
Last week I took in my first Giants game of the year. They're celebrating their 10th anniversary and it's looking like it might be a memorable year for them, Craig Cunningham and Brendan Gallagher are leading the league in points. They made quick work of the Everett Silvertips last week and the game started getting a wee bit spirited, which happens in the 'dub'. In the heat of this, I noticed this linesman's number. 137? Was double digits not good enough? Did they run out? What's the deal with this?
