For 12 hours on a cold and rainy September Sunday, 60 resilient photographers braved the elements to capture their interpretations of 12 randomly drawn themes with only 12 exposures of 35mm film. The rolls have been developed and judged and in Part 2 of 16 presenting the results of the 2nd annual 12×12 Vancouver Photo Marathon is the set that garnered Marathoner #02 the runner-up award for Best Series. Here are Robert Fougere’s interpretations of:

1. My Entry Number

2. The High Road

3. Torn Apart

4. Expendables

5. Ultimate

6. Secret World

7. Persistence

8. Dog Eat Dog

9. Vague

10. Resort

11. Easy as Pie

12. Unfunny

“This series had me at ‘My Entry Number,’” said 12×12 judge Erin Cebula of Fougere’s set of film photos. It contained the winning entry for Best Photo, as well as a couple of theme winners. Fellow 12×12 judges Adam & Kev added that “there were very rarely moments when the photographer did something similar to other photographers, and for the most part that originality combined with a few stellar images really shone through.”
