Craft Fair Awesomeness

Make It Vancouver is wrapping up today, but if you haven't yet there's still time to check out the indie-awesomeness at the Croatian Cultural Centre. Go HERE for more info on that. Swag! It's like Animal's Own Drum Kit. Adorable.

Swag!

It's like Animal's Own Drum Kit. Adorable.

Being an admirer of the crafty movement I, of course, had to check it out. This fair rocks because the first 25 people through the door (each day!) got swag bags (and unlike some other shows I've been to, there was no line-butting and lady-fighting over swag). The selection was really great and the organizers did a fine job of including a real variety of price-points; there really was something for everyone. I got myself a very cool black leather wrist strap with some detail made from a recycled olive oil tin for $12 as well as a one-off bamboo t-shirt with graphic design for $5. Not a bad haul.

Amazing handmade jewelry. A wealth of talent on the Vancouver scene.

My gentleman friend picked up some very cool Han Solo cufflinks ($30) as well as a pair made from recycled Lego parts ($10) in addition to some other man-friendly items.

Stuff for fancy lads. Boys can enjoy craft fairs, too.

Vancouver is Awesome friend Roberta from Ripe Beauty was on hand selling her delectable bath time goodies - next time I see her I'm going for the goat milk soap!
