Feels Like Home Episode 6 - Home to America

Feels Like Home is a monthly radio show (and podcast) produced and hosted by Lizzy Karp and Amanda McCuaig.

Feels Like Home is a monthly radio show (and podcast) produced and hosted by Lizzy Karp and Amanda McCuaig. It’s created and aired on CJSF Radio, Simon Fraser University’s campus/community radio station located in Burnaby/Vancouver, and in it they share stories of home centered around specific themes, mixed with great Canadian music.

Vancouver is Awesome is the official media sponsor of Feels Like Home and will be sharing each and every episode with you in case you miss them when they air!

When we knew that we would both be going home ourselves this past November, we took our recording gear with us. The result is two short documentaries about going home, and an interview with the lovely Hilary Henegar, editor of Granville Magazine, who also went to visit her home state of Indiana during this time.

This episode starts off with a story of my trip home to Kellogg for a funeral, the reunion of family, and a couple stories from my Grandfather.

Then we chat with Hilary about what it's like to be back in snowy hilly Indiana.

And end with Lizzy's hilarious and awesome family together in Salt Lake City and their series of traditions. ("I want some cornbread!!")

In this episode we play the following warm fuzzy music:

Let's Stay Inside by Adaline & Frederick

Little Girl by United Steel Workers of Montreal

Green Trees Red Hearts by Nat Jay

Piano for Open Skies by Stefan Christoff (under Hilary's interview)
