One of the things that keeps me firmly planted in Vancouver is the ability to walk 10 paces from my door and see beautiful mountains. Not only are they an amazing backdrop to our city, you can get to them in minutes and find the snow that generally eludes the city streets.
This past Sunday, Grouse Mountain provided spectacular views and excellent skiing conditions for an amazing January afternoon, and with a trusty Zipcar (named 'Muffin', which fit all our gear perfectly), we were up overlooking the city in no time at all.
