Colour Magazine Talent Showcase

Where & when: Friday January 28th 2010, 9PM @ The Astoria, 769 E. Hastings

Why you should go: Co-sponsored by V.I.A. this event has so much rad!  Rad bands, rad emcees as well as a talent competition where you can win some rad free stuff! Rad. Plus delicious winter drinks on sale all night.

Cool extras: This happens once a month so you can get all of the rad you need every single month.

PuSh International Performing Arts Festival

Where & when: January 18th – February 6th, various venues around Vancouver – Ticket information

Cost: Passes sold out but individual tickets still available – various prices

Why you should go: The PuSh Festival presents groundbreaking work in the live performing arts: theatre, dance, music and various hybrid forms of performance. It attracts acclaimed local, national and international artists and their work.

2011 CIBC LunarFest

Where & When: Vancouver Art Gallery Plaza, 750 Hornby St., 4PM-11PM

Cost: FREE

Why you should go: See the Vancouver Art Gallery Plaza being transformed by thousands of children into the world’s FIRST Lantern Aquarium. Come witness the magic and capture the best moments on your camera for a chance to win great prizes.
