The Proof - Zoe Garred

Zoe Garred gets more done in a day than most people do all week. Despite her work ethic it should not be assumed that she is serious in nature. Her off kilter sense of humour and honest enthusiasm keep her from being a stuffy workaholic.

Zoe Garred gets more done in a day than most people do all week. Despite her work ethic it should not be assumed that she is serious in nature. Her off kilter sense of humour and honest enthusiasm keep her from being a stuffy workaholic.  Zoe has a passion for materials, whether it is those that she uses in her own work, that she clothes herself in or that she has in her home. She strives to find the best, softest, coziest, and prettiest items that she can get her hands on. This refinement in taste is obvious when you look at the products made by her company, Fleet Objects. Each object has a simple line that lets the material and colour choice take precedence. And, while they are created in multiples, each one has its own unique character derived from the method of production.

Zoe Garred Proof

The Proof

01 My studio is so cozy with a kiln to keep me warm on cold winter days. I always feel inspired here.

02 One of my favorite things, my Bay blanket. It keeps me cozy after a hard days work at the studio.

03 Part of my growing ceramic collection. I'm obsessed!

04 How can you ask for better friends. They took me to get old timey photos as a birthday surprise.

05 My favorite chair. I don't really sit on it but I like to look at it while I peer out from my Bay blanket on the couch.

06 I found this vintage photo at the Sally Anne and every time I look at it I wish I had taken it.

07 These people can make anything funny. They help me not take my work too seriously.

08 My newest project called the Pools ceramic collection. It grew out of a desire to halve the number of things in my cupboard. Simple, basic, multifunctional shapes.
