I've always liked the Mount Pleasant neighbourhood. Such a high concentration of colourful heritage homes - it was the first quasi 'suburb' of Vancouver, and its development was partially a result of beer. To elaborate, Brewery Creek ran through the area. Is there anything beer can't do?
Not all of the colourful heritage homes are occupied by humans, however. Ruth Hartnup is participating in a monthly photo scavenger hunt on Flickr, and apparently this month's requirement is a photo of a birdhouse. Recalling another photo she had seen, Ruth set out to take her own photo of a quaint little MP abode, a Mossy Birdhouse, seen below.
