It took a great deal of restraint on my part not to make yesterday's post a reference to the Canucks. Today's post kind of makes a reference in what I hope is a subtle manner. Little did rommy ghaly know in early March - when he took a photo of the new Woodwards 'W' against a backdrop of ominous clouds - that his image would be used to make such a reference.
After last night's 2-0 win over the Chicago Blackhawks, the Canucks have something in common with the Woodwards building: they both have one W. The Canucks are only 1/16th of the way to winning the franchise's first ever Stanley Cup (that's 6.25% for you decimal fans out there), but as they say, even the longest journey begins with but a single step.
So lets hope the Canucks can add some more W's, and that Woodwards stays at one (two if you include the old one in the display case) - because if Woodwards put 16 W's on the roof of the building, it would look a little silly.
