After a couple of weeks of looking our search for a new UNPLUGGED Editor is finally over. Actually, the recruiting exercise went better than we could have expected and as a result it brought in several qualified and enthusiastic candidates. So, after some deep thought and a few chats with the boss I decided that rather than have to pick one person from this group of awesome candidates why not have them all come aboard. |
Susan Young
Susan is originally from Vancouver but spent the last ten years of her life in Edinburgh where she earned a degree in Photography and met her fiance. She will be handling the UNPLUGGED Flickr Pick feature which will now move into it's own slot on Saturdays. In addition to the Flickr Pick she will also be commandeering our VIAUnplugged Twitter account.

Chris Morisawa
Like me, Chris moved to Vancouver four years ago only from the Toronto area (I came by way of Pittsburgh). He keeps a low key photo blog of his own morisawa.wordpress.com/ with select photos from here and there and has had one of his photos featured here as an UNPLUGGED Flickr Pick: Get Stoked! (image below).

Meena Sandhu
Meena is a third generation Vancouverite...how many of you can say that? Her great grandfather came here in 1906. She has spent her entire life adventuring through every corner of this city with her father and grandparents.

Kevin Simcock
Kevin is a true Vancouver explorer. He is a photographer with a background as an advertising copywriter who is constantly out enjoying new trails with his wife and dog, new parts of the lower mainland and always taking photos. The plan moving forward is simple; as I stated already Susan will run the UNPLUGGED Flickr Pick on Saturdays as well as our Twitter feed and Chris, Meena, Kevin and myself will get dirty exploring the Lower Mainland to bring you rotating Friday UNPLUGGED features.
