Oh hai! How was your week?

Happy first day of summer. I've spent a large majority of today dancing to the new Oh No! Yoko EP that came out today. Highly recommended.

SO! What did I get up to musically this week? I checked out the Sumner Brothers tour launch show with Portage and Main, Rolla Olak, and Steve Brockley, very fun. Then I managed to catch Redbird at THEIR EP release party, where they killed it (another recommended album!). Then I got wrapped up in work. So, once again, Happy First Day Of Summer (and happy birthday to my dad...Hi Dad! I know you don't read this, but still...)

THIS WEEK IN MUSIC: I'm going to be all over the city. Join me? Tonight is An Horse w/ Rococode at the Biltmore. Wednesday Steph Macpherson and Mike Edel return to Vancouver from tour to perform at The Railway. Thursday Green Couch Sessions presents The Belle Game, Aardvark Robinson, and Chimpanzebras at The Cobalt. Friday marks the beginning of Jazz Fest, which runs from the 24th to the 3rd. Many VIAindie favourites will be performing this weekend including Ali Milner (Friday), Jasper Sloan Yip (Saturday), and Brasstronaut (Monday)! Jenn Grant is in town performing at The Biltmore on Saturday and last but not least, the LOVE NOT H8 fundraiser ft. Bodhi Jones, Nadia von Hahn, Katie Schaan and Thom Kolb (of 41st and Home) is Sunday at the Railway.

PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO VOTE FOR VIA in the BLOG section of the UCC&Awards - Lifestyle, Sports, Events and...MUSIC! (you can only vote once, and don't have to sign up, so it's super easy.)

(FYI, I'm also in the ARTS>PHOTOGRAPHER section) xo!
