Happy Canada Day everyone. I had the pleasure of celebrating it a little earlier this week on Wednesday night.

Rogers Communications was celebrating the launch of their new beauty and lifestyle website along with their television station, Citytv, with Breakfast Television host Dawn Chubai.

Plain and simple, it was fun. The classy affair was in the Opus Hotel lounge with drinks including passion fruit and orange champagne cocktails served by Opus Bar and ample appetizers served by 100 Nights.

I was a little intimidated by the crowd of almost all women and not the usual social clientele. I was hoping to see a few fashion blogger friends, but it felt like more of an industry event. I did meet Style Struck blogger Olivia Lovenmark in her bright red shorts.

It was a lot of fun and the service was impeccable and very friendly. The servers were so attentive and nice. I really liked the simple celebration with only a single 90 second speech by Dawn the host.
