Did you catch Crowdsourced Sunday this weekend? Jackie Picard put together a nice Canada Day edition from all of your twitter photos that showed where you were and how were celebrating on July 1st. Makes my decision to not go too heavy on the holiday with the Daily Flickr Pickr feature seem like a good one now.
However, I was really impressed by a July 1st photo from the new Vancouver Convention Centre that blinkd.ca submitted to the pool. I was absolutely blown away by the size of the room when I visited the open house in April of 2009 and again on subsequent visits - the scale of the room is difficult to appreciate until you are there in the space yourself. The image you see below does a good job of showing this scale by including so many figures on so many planes between the camera and the floor-to-ceiling window that exeeds 40' in height. Of course, windows are only as good as the light and the view that they provide, and looking out over Burrard Inlet towards the North Shore, this most certainly is a Room With a View.
