A few weeks ago the VANCVR community crossed the 300 member mark! We're still amazed at how much incredible design, photography, illustration etc. etc. is coming out of this city. This week, meet photographer Art Zaratsyan. That's him below, along with some of his striking portrait and fashion photography.
What do you do?
I am a portrait and fashion photographer based in Vancouver, BC. I work with advertising, editorial and commercial clients with a focus on classical and environmental portraiture, as well as fashion and lifestyle photography.
Why do you love being a creative in Vancouver?
Vancouver has a small but rapidly growing creative community, full of amazing talent. Being a part of this community is a rewarding experience in itself; closely collaborating with local artists and designers provides the constant creative stimulation an emerging artist like me needs so much.
How would you love to collaborate with other local creatives?
I work with amazing local fashion designers, stylists, hair and makeup artists on my commercial and personal photography projects. Each creative is unique, and brings their personal style to my shoots, leaving his or her mark. Vancouver has so much creative talent and one feels blessed to be a part of this community.
