The Art of Flight Vancouver Premiere

If you follow snowboarding at all you’ve been looking forward to this film since the trailer dropped back in February.

If you follow snowboarding at all you’ve been looking forward to this film since the trailer dropped back in February. 4 million views later and finally last night Vancouver had its chance to watch the The Art of Flight in its entirety on the big screen at the Centre for Performing Arts. Hailed as the most progressive winter sports action film ever created, it was shot over two years around the globe in Alaska, Wyoming, Patagonia, and in our own backyard of British Columbia.  Brain Farm Cinema, the same team who brought you 2008’s game changer That’s It, That’s All, took cinematography to the next level as did the riders with their snowboarding. Travis Rice lead a world class group of riders including John Jackson, Pat Moore, Mark Landvik, Nicolas Müller, DCP, Mark McMorris, Scotty Lago, Jake Blauvelt and Jeremy Jones. BC played a huge part in this film and it showed everyone how dangerous and fun our mountains can be. And in my unbiased opinion, the Revelstoke section contained the best riding of the night and will make you forget about this summer and start praying for winter. The Art of Flight is available on iTunes now but do your best to see this on the biggest screen you can. Call up your friend with that huge home theatre and put it to use.

Not many snowboard films have their own RV.
