Every day we share a single photo from our Flickr Pool shot by one of our faithful and talented readers (that’s you!)
Today’s photo, which comes to us courtesy of Kim Ridgewell, isn’t nearly as gloomy as yesterday’s – but is equally as abstract. Chalk it up to another example of how the familiar can look so radically different when a tighter composition is employed. A devilishly simple line study, the form of the old bridge has never looked so much like from another time.
As much as I would like for this image to qualify as a Bird Action Shot™ – the kind which I am so unapologetically fond of – I don’t think it does. Probably the antithesis, actually: a Bird Inaction Shot™. Of course, I might not be giving those birds enough credit; I wasn’t there. Kim was, obviously, and her title describes them as Birds gone wild. Burrard Street Bridge.
