Today's photo, which comes to us courtesy of Kim Ridgewell, isn't nearly as gloomy as yesterday's - but is equally as abstract. Chalk it up to another example of how the familiar can look so radically different when a tighter composition is employed. A devilishly simple line study, the form of the old bridge has never looked so much like from another time.

As much as I would like for this image to qualify as a Bird Action Shot™ - the kind which I am so unapologetically fond of - I don't think it does. Probably the antithesis, actually: a Bird Inaction Shot™. Of course, I might not be giving those birds enough credit; I wasn't there. Kim was, obviously, and her title describes them as Birds gone wild. Burrard Street Bridge.
