Today we feature Bradley Messer, who speaks to wood, or rather wood speaks to him.
He reads the knots and rings to find the spirit living within each found piece, then lovingly transforms them using fine materials such as sharpies and wax scuff-repair crayons. The characters living within these grains often bear a striking resemblance to passing Chinatowners, graffiti kids, urban animals, 3-eyed creatures, Gremlins, Ewoks, tweakers, hustlers, and birds.
