On the surface, there is an obvious connection between yesterday's post and today's - two dignified portraits of proud and stoic subjects, and of course they are both critters of some description. But to be honest, I am a little more interested in where the two subjects diverge; while Chris' photo yesterday was of a beautiful and faithful canine companion, today's image from knitgirl is of a majestic and graceful hunter which serves as a reminder of where we live.
I can't recall seeing too many bald eagles in the city, certainly not one perched upon a cross. But give this baldy his props: Strathcona Eagle reprazent.
Speaking of hunting, Vancouver Is Awesome is looking for someone to join their team! Duties include performing the editing of the Daily Flickr Pickr - following in the footsteps of yours truly. Yup, my one full calendar year of sharing images from the Flickr Pool with you talented and faithful readers is drawing to a close.
