VIA reader Eryne Donahue submitted her awesome traveling celebrity enviro cat Sparrow!

Breed/Colouring: A petite grey-brown tabby

Hood: East Van (Fraser-Broadway area)

Habits: Opening and slamming kitchen cupboards to get attention and treats, late night visits to the local elementary school, drinking from the toilet and begging for milk when its coffee time.

Hangouts: You can find her skulking in the 11th ave curbside gutter, running around at the local elementary school, looking down at you from the roof, snoozing in her cardboard "occupy" tent or on the road anywhere along the coast (she's a traveller!).

Other info: Born on the streets of East Van and adopted from the SPCA as a kitten, Sparrow has been brought up by an artist and an environmentalist in an old heritage home rental suite. A bit of an adrenaline junkie, she enjoys bumpy car rides on forest service roads, canoe trips on False Creek (and gunnel walking), dog slapping and miniature dog chasing (seriously!), climbing very high trees, sliding down playground slides (on her own!), trail "running with the pack" (i.e. her owners), running into Coyote dens in Squamish or on the Oregon coast (seriously!), roof walking, staring down speeding cars from the middle of the alley and taking on the big cats. She is only one year old and yet she has already travelled to Squamish, Pemberton, Lillooet, Kamloops, Logan Lake, Hope and all the way down the coast on a roadtrip to San Francisco- tent camping along the way. She's been invited into pet stores, corner stores and a Sonoma county winery! Not only that, but she's also participated in the creation of 4 wetlands as a conservation project in the BC interior, behaved herself well in a Pemberton breeding bird count, has been featured as "vole patrol" on the Tk'emlups Indian Band facebook page! Wow...she's a bit of a celebrity enviro cat.
