Its not every day that you find yourself in a scenario where you wish you had a pocket full of birdseed - prior to today I don't recall ever having entertained that notion myself. But all that changed when I saw today's photograph courtesy of Lesley Edwards (whose Flickr handle - bookminder - provides a nice segue from the two book flavoured posts that immediately precede this one THAT YOU SHOULD READ here and here).
Lesley's title serves as a caption describing how this particular scenario unfolded: Duck! These poor chaps plodded across the ice hoping we'd feed them but alas we came empty handed.
