This is what winter in Vancouver is supposed to be all about!
This image struck me immediately...the motion, the framing, the trees weighed down with white stuff. I can't even see this person's face but I know he's having one hell of a time! There's no doubt about it, Whistler is the place to be if you want to slide quickly down hills and I can absolutely see why you'd want to.
This image is in sharp contrast to the images I made today as I sat by the sea, relaxing in the sun...in January! Ok, so we don't have piles of fluffy whiteness here in the city but we sure don't have to go far to find some.

It is our opinion here at VIA that Vancouver holds a unique place in the civilized world in that reaching this state often requires no more effort than simply pulling off to the side of the road, pocketing your keys and taking a few steps into the forest
