Random Act of Awesomeness - The Urban Futures Survey

Wow! Our friends at PlaceSpeak have gone and done something super awesome.

Wow! Our friends at PlaceSpeak have gone and done something super awesome. They've brewed up the Urban Futures Survey along with a bunch of partners in Metro Vancouver and it's something that we can all participate in to help shape the future of this great region of ours.

It's the third version of this survey, the first being conducted in 1973 and then another one was done in 1990. The past ones informed the creation of the Livable Region Plan and the Choosing our Future program. Together, these initiatives helped shape the metro region we see today. They were influenced by all of the folks living here in the 70's and the 90's and now they need your help to shape the Metro Vancouver of tomorrow. And if you're old enough to have taken part in those past surveys, then they need your help again!

Listen to what some noteable Metro Vancouverites have to say about it below. For instance, musician Jim Byrnes, who tells us it takes less time to complete than it does for him to change a couple sets of guitar strings...

Or actor, Blu Mankuma, who just delivers it smooth...

Listen to Bob Rennie when he says it'll take less time to fill out than it takes for you to criticize the Olympic Village...

Or Red Robinson, who you might know from 50 years of broadcasting...

Lastly, former NDP premiere, Mike Harcourt, also wants you to participate...
