Random Act of Awesomeness: BCIT students drive non-profit society that puts on free events

Cool! The Spring Living Fair folks have gone and done something super awesome: their 2012 fair is themed around Ethical Choices and helping you live a healthier, more sustainable lifestyle.

Cool! The Spring Living Fair folks have gone and done something super awesome: their 2012 fair is themed around Ethical Choices and helping you live a healthier, more sustainable lifestyle. With 30 vendors, the event is being held April 1st at the Heritage Hall on Main Street from 10:30Am until 3:30PM. Oh, and it's FREE!

Not only does the event look great but the story behind it is really interesting. BCIT has actually formed a non-profit society dedicated to supporting community initiatives like this Spring Living Fair, and the team that puts it on are "energetic young minds of Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE BCIT). As young students, we are passionate about advancing sustainable lifestyle choices – such as those products or services offered by our community’s local entrepreneur’s. Our objective is to help promote the benefits of local, sustainable and eco-friendly businesses and ideas where it is most needed – in our community."
