SCENE AND HEARD showcases the independent music scene here in Vancouver. With 29,185+ artists, boasting 138,570+ tracks, the CBC Radio 3 web site is the absolute ultimate authority, and the home, of independent music in Canada. With that massive library along with tools for members (free to join!), we’re taking advantage of what they’ve set up by bringing you a fresh batch of music every week featuring local groups who have tracks (entire albums, even!) on the R3 site. |
We never really ask an artist more than once to create a playlist, but I made an exception for gorgeous Hannah Georgas for three reasons.
1) I love her.
2) She's playing the COMMODORE this week.
3) Hannah's original playlist was WEEK FOUR! Over two years ago. (Check it out...it didn't even have photos back then!)
Back to the Commodore part, she's opening for Kathleen Edwards at the Commodore on Friday April 6th after being on the road with her for months! Amazing homecoming if I do say so!
